Director's Chair
Here we present a new feature, the Director's
Chair, an ongoing blog from Bert Miller, Artistic
Director for ACT.
October 16, 2014
I recently heard a disturbing comment that said “Auburn Community Theater isn’t
a family friendly theater.” I suppose that was said because we haven’t done a
children’s show in a few years, and some of our regular fare is more geared to
adults. However, we do consider ourselves a family friendly environment.

In fact, just this month we will be showing two delightful Halloween movies that the
whole family can enjoy. On October 18, come see “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,”
a wonderful Disney film about one apprentice witch’s war efforts in England
during WWII. And our Halloween movie night is a double feature. Please stay for
the deliciously scare encore where we will be showing “Beetlejuice.” It is a little
more scary than the first fun film, but still appropriate for most families. And in
between films we will again have our costume contest for the kids.

So bring the whole family to see our movies and don’t miss our
upcoming musical review “Blame It on the Movies!” coming in
November. I’d say ACT is a great family friendly place you can
bring the entire family without breaking the bank to do it!
